For HW, find one genocide, or 'act of genocide' which has occurred since the Holocaust which you do not know much about. Use our definition of genocide to help if necessary. Answer the following questions about it. (Note: although it occurred before the Holocaust, you may research the Armenian Genocide due to the recent controversy surrounding it).
Questions:
Name of genocide:
1. When and where did it occur?
2. Who were the victims and why were they targeted?
3. Who committed the genocide or acts of genocide?
4. How did the world respond to this? Was there outside intervention?
5. How is this genocide viewed today? Is it commonly accepted? Denied? Is there any controversy surrounding it?
6. After finishing your research, what are 2 questions that you now have? It's okay if these are questions you can't necessarily answer.
